2008 - 2011

A three years BSc’s Programme specialized in applied psychology in the working and organizational environment. Some of my fondest memories spark from that time and it was my ultimate proof for my love of the human nature and spirit that cemented itself there.

Along the road I gained a major’s in corporate communication’s and specializations in intercultural cooperation, mediation and negotiation tactics.

I’ve written term papers and defended oral exams in the following topics (excerpt and highlights):

  • a survey study on the user acceptance of a home-office like solution that could be rented at trainstations (a pioneer project at the time) - Thesis Topic

  • optimization of the virtual collaboration between two teams at separated physical locations (a pioneer project at the time)

  • correct media choices for communications tasks on a scientific basis

  • on the impact of violence in entertainment on the consumers mind

  • on the Tschernobyl Nuclear Desaster - a deep ellaboration on what went wrong from a Health, Safety and Environment Perspective

After the decision has been made to answer my calling to not only remain a natural, but become a professional coach I went on to seek for the ideal education. It was Dr. Bock’s Original book “MindFuck” that actually awakened the calling, so it technically was a no-brainer to follow up with her.

In a year’s long certification with multiple On-Site weeks in Berlin, I’ve been gifted rich insights, experiences and tools in the area of coaching as well as entered a community with some of the brightest and most kind-hearted persons I’ve ever come to meet.

My natural humanistically centered approach to coaching on an equal emphasis by both heart as well as sound, scientific methods was forged and shaped mainly in this wonderful environment.

In an additional year to the original Business Coaching Certification, We’ve furtherly refined our Coaching skills using advanced strategies and method’s within the working field.

Simultaneously I started the initial year of the certification course for the potential oriented coach (to the right), providing me with a rich year of 2018, full of further added insight and rich practice into the coaching world.

The two years certification course of Dr. Petra Bock, teaching her unique way of dealing with “the enemy within”.

It was after discovering the books around “MindFuck” in 2016, that I knew I found my original purpose in joining the battle against limiting beliefs and freeing the imprisoned strenghts that they try to lock away.

The MindFuck Method is a unique way to dismantle these limiting beliefs in a conversation on eye-level between coach and coachee. We discuss the situation, discover the limiting beliefs and use their own force to joyfully venture into the world beyond those beliefs.

PROSCI Change Management Methology
2015

In this Certification course, I’ve learnt about the ADKAR Change Management process. ADKAR offers a great framework to apply a wide variety of tools in a sense making way and sequence, leading the participants to the joy of embracing change rather than rejecting it. A great speciality of mine is the combination of ADKAR and potential oriented coaching in order to tear down the walls of resistance to change in my communities.

During two years, I was priviledged to function as a communications vantage point between a development team and their end users for a globally operating pharma company. In a very exciting Project in the MedTech Environment, I had the opportunity to assist end users in the execution of user acceptance tests during one year. For a globally operating pharma company, I’ve built a process for the monitoring and compliant execution of agreed corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and finally took over the review and negotiations of appropriate measurements after conducted audits. This included the complete Community Management for a globally operating User Community (100+ Members) and an internal Team (30+ Members).

But who am I, really - when no one’s watching?

First and foremost - I’m always the same person.

I am many roles - but I don’t “play a role”.

Sometimes I utilize communication techniques, tailor-made to be of service to someone and help them experience true breakthroughs. But that’s the mission. That’s the passion. If I don’t use the tools - there’s no need in attaining them, much less need to sharpen them all the time.

I am a very multi-dimensional, well-faceted person. So here’s a collection of what truly drives me, both inside and outside the world of Coaching.

 

CONNECTION AND LOVE.

My single most important one of the basic human needs.

Other People, Myself and the connection between them.

I’m proud part of a vivid and loving patchwork family, consisting of my partner, an amazing adult daughter of my own and the three wonderful smaller kids of my partner.

Family isn’t necessarily who you’re around because you where born with them. It’s who you’re sharing tables with. Whom you’re growing with. Your friends. Your connections. Your loved one’s. The people you truly and actually care about.

Beeing richly blessed in that sense by a few selected extremely close members of “my inner circle” and a rich array of other amazing friends, I can honestly say that “keeping up with the gang” is my favourite thing in the world!

If you’ve closely payed attention - I’m one of the happy people that can honestly say - both of the higher self human needs - Growth and Contribution - fall into the space of my closest and deepest personal and professional interests. On a very conscious level rather than residing on the subconscious alone.

Great Leaders and Teachers such as my original coaching Teacher Dr. Petra Bock, but also Tony Robbins, Timothy Gallwey, Jocko Willink, Simon Sinek, Alex Hartmann are inspiring me every day, both in personal connection and over reading their rich inputs.

 

POP CULTURE.
GAMES / MOVIES / MUSIC

When I was younger, I was all into games. A real, true nerd in every sense of the word.

Then something strange happened - I grew up. Yiiikeess…

But yet another strange oddity happened - I became a father with 19 and almost immediately turned into a single-parent - and having a kid as close to my own age as myself remint me to keep up to the pulse of time.

I’m unfortunately not spending a lot of time on these things anymore - but I’m a Gamer at heart, love to see deep-thought and also silly movies at times, am occassionally into music and yiiiikes - sometimes even into watching a good old Wrestling Match.

NUTRITION.
COOK. EAT. STAY HEALTHY.

Yes - the rumors are true - Markus Ammann loves eating.

But kidding aside, I’m into much more than just consumption. I’m interested in all things culinary.

I love DIY cooking at home and eating out in a restaurant equally so.

Same as much as I love healthy vegetebale dishes such as the Tomato-Mozzarella Salad I crafted to the right not any less than my medium-rare steak.

But it doesn’t stop there - I also care tremendously about nutritional science. I follow different styles of dieting from time to time, such as Cell-Reset Programs, Vegan for 30 days, or Juice Challenges.

 

TRAVEL AND EXPLORATION.

I love to travel around the world whenever it is possible, allowed and safe.

Some of my fondest and best memories I’ve gathered not just at home at “my castle” but outside, travelling around.

My favourite travel destination definetely are the amazing USA where I’ve had the priviledge to visit for three times so far.

The picture however shows me in beautiful Florence, Italy on the concluding week of my last coaching education which was also a week of deep insight and vast, personal development.
